Screening & Prevention Programs

Teaching second-year medical students how to do a physical exam and how to actively look for melanoma will determine the habits they maintain throughout their professional careers. Without specific instruction on how to examine the skin, these medical students would be unlikely to do skin checks as part of their routine patient exams, and therefore the most important intervention against melanoma would be lost.

FAST FACTS

This project will lead the way in educating second-year medical students on how to perform a total-body skin exam.
