Yes, it's official. We've signed-up to participate in a Melanoma Walk/Run to raise money for melanoma research and awareness. The walk is October 7th in Milford.

This cause is very important to us. We will be walking in honor of my daughter and Scott's sister, Dawn Gentz who was diagnosed with melanoma in August, 2009. Her children, Matthew (8) and Preston (6) are walking with us.

We've pledged to raise at least $1,000 this year and we are hoping to surpass that amount with your help, our friends and family.

Melanoma is the fastest growing cancer in the United States and worldwide. One person dies every 60 minutes from melanoma.

We're taking on this challenge to do something big that will increase awareness and support research for the CURE.
