Remember that I AM INCREDIBLY LUCKY that I GET THIS CHANCE TO FIGHT TO KEEP LIVING and experiencing this AMAZING/INCREDIBLE JOURNEY OF LIFE!!!!!

Vicki’s Message (Steph’s Mom)
It is with great sadness that we tell you that our wonderful little angel Stephanie Dawn has passed away. She took her final precious breath on Tuesday March 25 at approximately 8:30 PM in the company of her loving mother and her life mate Brent.

Brent and I were getting her ready for bed and she closed her eyes for the final time in our arms. She looked so beautiful and finally at peace. We gave her kisses, told her that we loved her and said good bye. Bill, Kim and the kids were at home together. I had just talked to them and their love & spirit were with us.

Stephanie was an amazing lady. We knew she was special, but had no idea how special until we witnessed her fight and love of life. Never did she say, “Why is this happening to me?” Never did she lose her courage and say “I am afraid.” When doctors gave her bad news after each phase of her treatment, she would look at them and a smile. It wasn’t a nervous smile. It was a genuine smile that made everyone in the room feel better, even though the news was horrible.

Stephanie made us believe that she would win her battle against melanoma. And ,we really thought she would. Even when the statistics revealed that she only had a 2-3% chance of survival, she seemed undaunted and believed that she would be in that 2-3% (so did we).

Stephanie will be missed so incredibly much, but never, never forgotten, with that beautiful smile & giggle and her saying, ” Life is to be lived, with no regrets at the end… and IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!!!”

Thank you all for being part of her sweet life and her journey with cancer. You provided her with great love, joy and inspiration.
