Dr. John Kirkwood

Usher Professor of Medicine, Dermatology and Translational Science University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine and the Co-Leader, Melanoma and Skin Cancer Program, UPMC Hillman Cancer Center

Dr. Kirkwood is internationally renowned for pioneering research in the development of biological therapies for melanoma. He is a member of numerous medical oncology and research societies and has co-authored more than 300 peer-reviewed articles, chapters and reviews, focusing heavily upon melanoma. In 1995, Dr. Kirkwood assumed the Chairmanship of the Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group’s Melanoma Committee.

Dr. Mohammed Kashani-Sabet

Associate Professor of Dermatology at California Pacific Medical Center, Herschel and Diana Zackheim Endowed Chair in Cutaneous Oncology, Director of CPMC Melanoma Center, and Clinical Leader of Cutaneous Oncology Program at CPMC Comprehensive Cancer Center

Dr. Kashani-Sabet’s research is focused on the prognostic approach to patient’s disease state and the identification of melanoma progression genes, and the development of gene therapies for patients with melanoma, areas which he has published extensively. Dr. Kashani-Sabet is a member of numerous professional societies, and serves on the editorial board of Cancer Gene Therapy.

Dr. Gupta was formerly at Antigenics, Inc., where she was Sr. VP of Development, advancing its immunotherapy and small molecule pipeline for Oncology and Infectious Diseases. Her work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals, including the Journal of Infectious Diseases and she has been active in numerous relevant academic and professional societies such as the Infectious Disease Society of America and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
