Our dearest Raquel lost her battle with melanoma this past December 2018. As Raquel entered her battle with melanoma, her spirit and attitude remained strong and bright. She was simply an amazing and talented person who was loved and cherished. There wasn’t hardly anything Raquel couldn’t do once she set her mind to it. Maybe a little stubborn at times, but also determined. She was driven by a virtue of constantly setting goals, reaching them, and setting new ones. Not only did she take pride in her work, but she took pride in her home. Raquel was creative and crafty. She was a excellent cook and could whip up anything from a simple dish to a gourmet dinner by simply throwing items together without a recipe. Every holiday season, she made her famous Christmas cookies to which she would give away graciously. Raquel was also a little bit of a thrill seeker. She loved to snow ski (always the black diamond moguls) , water sports and boating, hydroplane racing, tennis and an occasional 5k or 10k fun run. Out of all of her strengths, she was a phenomenal mother and wife. But she was also a loved sister, daughter, stepmom, sister-in-law and daughter-in-law. Raquel will be forever missed, loved, cherished and of course remembered. Until we see you again, we love you.
