Jason was a fun loving, carefree, wonderful son, brother, cousin, nephew and friend.
Jason was diagnosed on his 19th birthday, 2-8-1994, with Stage IV Melanoma and was sent to Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa for surgery. They removed the melanoma in a mole on his chest and also removed all the lymphnodes under his right arm and the right side of his neck.
He took interferon for 1 year and the melanoma went into remission.
Then, in August 1997, the melanoma came back with a vengence and he was put on chemo and given 3 to 6 months to live.
Jason passed away on June 28, 1998, and there is never a day that goes by that his mom and dad don’t think of him.
Jason loved the outdoors and was a fisherman, skier, wakeboarder, and anything to do with the outside. We covered with sunscreen, but the Florida sun is unforgiving…
