Tri-State Melanoma Consortium – Inaugural Convening

Last night, leading melanoma researchers and clinicians from across the New York , New Jersey, and Connecticut region gathered at the Griffis Faculty Club at Weill Cornell Medicine for the first-ever Tri-State Melanoma Consortium. The goal of the evening was simple but impactful: to share active clinical trials and foster collaboration across institutions to ultimately enhance patient care.
The event was co-coordinated by Sam Guild, President of AIM at Melanoma, and Anna C. Pavlick, BSN, MSc, DO, MBA, Professor of Medicine in the Division of Hematology & Medical Oncology at Weill Cornell Medicine and Founding Director of the Cutaneous Oncology Program at Weill Cornell Medicine and New York-Presbyterian. Dr. Pavlick also served as moderator for the evening’s discussions.

Institutions in attendance included:
🔹 University of Connecticut (UConn)
🔹 Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey (Rutgers/CINJ)
🔹 Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai
🔹 NYU Langone Health
🔹 Weill Cornell Medicine
🔹 Columbia University Irving Medical Center
🔹 Albert Einstein College of Medicine / Montefiore Medical Center
🔹 Northwell Health Cancer Institute
🔹 Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
This event embodies AIM’s mission: uniting brilliant minds, fostering collaboration, and driving innovation to accelerate discovery and access. By bringing together organizations with a common purpose, the path to improved treatments—and ultimately a cure—becomes ever clearer.
We’re excited to make this a biannual gathering and look forward to the continued exchange of ideas, science, and hope.
