Dana-Farber Cancer Institute

Founded in 1947, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute is committed to providing adults and children with cancer the best treatments available today, while leading the research to advance the understanding, diagnosis, treatment, cure and prevention of cancer and related diseases. Located in Boston, Massachusetts, Dana-Farber is a Comprehensive Cancer Center as designated by the National Cancer Institute and an affiliate of the Harvard Medical School.

This symposium is an opportunity for patients and caregivers to learn about melanoma from medical professionals and fellow patients, caregivers, and survivors. This event is FREE and open to all and will be presented in-person and virtually.

Wearing a face mask during your Dana-Farber visit is generally optional, unless you have symptoms of respiratory illness that may be related to cold, flu, or COVID-19. Face masks are available at our entrances and hygiene stations for your use.  Visit Dana-Farber’s website for more details about preparing for your visit.

Parking: Parking is available in the garage under Dana-Farber’s Yawkey Center for Cancer Care. Enter the garage from Jimmy Fund Way, Boston, MA. Please park on level P3 or lower and remember to take your parking ticket with you. You can validate parking when you check in for the symposium on the 16th floor of the Dana building. When you are ready to leave the parking garage, show your validated ticket to the attendant at the garage exit. Visit www.dana-farber.org/directions for more parking and wayfinding information.

Getting to the Symposium: Our symposium will be held in the Dana building at 44 Binney Street, Boston, MA. If you park in Dana-Farber’s garage, take the elevators located in the middle of the garage to Level 1. Exit the elevators and take a right. Follow the hallway to the exit, and exit the building onto Jimmy Fund Way. Turn right on the sidewalk and cross Jimmy Fund Way at the corner. Enter the Dana lobby through the front doors.

Check-in with security in the Dana building lobby by showing them your digital pass from our prescreen app (see health information above). You will be given a visitor pass and can then take the elevators to the 16th floor of the Dana Building, following signage to find the Smith Family Room (Room D1620). You will check-in for the symposium and validate your parking ticket there.
