Grace was born in Reed, Oklahoma, graduated from college with a degree in art. Grace and Jim Hutchins married on August 21, 1948 and moved to Texas and Colorado where Grace taught elementary grade school art.

Grace is survived by Nancy H. Zepeda, Gail LaRue, Bruce Hutchins and granddaughter Maya LaRue.

Grace lived a full life and contributed to the learning of art and community and family living. Grace had a special love for Native American art and expressionism.

She will be missed.
