Mark lost his battle to melanoma on his birthday, after fighting for 2 1/2 years. It was fast and brutal, and he was brave and strong and hopeful.
He was an amazing husband, father, brother, son, and friend, and we all miss his laughter and love each day.

Mark was as healthy as could be & had a flesh-colored mole on his ankle that started to bleed. When it did it again the next day, we made an appointment. Long story short, Stage IV melanoma. No signs, no other symptoms. Mark fought 2 years to beat this cancer, but he lost his battle. Mark was the BEST husband & father of two great boys that he loved so much, and he fought so hard to stay with us. Mark always said if I can just get people to understand how deadly this cancer is and to get checked yearly then I have done my job. Mark always had the best attitude and laughed a lot. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor so you never have to go through this and get your dermatology appointment scheduled every May for Melanoma Awareness Month. Just do it, easy 10 minutes of your life. I Love You, Mark ! Sue Robertson, wife and best friend
